Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use your casual game music and SFX in a commercial mobile game? +

Yes, all tiers cover commercial use. The Common License covers video games specifically. Rare and Legendary extend to any content type including trailers, YouTube videos, social media, broadcast and radio. The Subscription plan covers most content types while your plan remains active. See full license details →

What's the difference between buying a pack vs subscribing?+

The difference is in how you access the sounds:

  • Pay-per-track
Purchase individual music tracks / sound effects or themed game audio packs/bundles with a one-time payment. Your license is permanent. This is ideal if you need specific tracks or packs for a project.
  • Subscription plans
Download a limited number of individual tracks each month (29–49 tracks depending on your plan) from the full catalog. Game audio packs and bundles are not included and must be purchased separately. This is ideal if you need to explore and download tracks from different packs or across multiple projects. Projects released while your subscription is active remain permanently licensed, but this does not give you a permanent license to tracks you downloaded.

All plans include the same high-quality audio files. Choose the plan that best matches your project size, revenue, team, and distribution.

Is the music loopable for continuous gameplay? +

Yes. All casual game music tracks are designed to loop seamlessly. Each track includes intro, full loop, and end stinger variations — so you can control exactly when music starts, loops, and ends in your game without any audio gaps or abrupt cuts.

Are these sounds safe for streamers and Let's Play videos? +

Yes. All music and sound effects are DMCA-safe and not registered with Content ID. Players who stream or record gameplay of your game will not face copyright claims or audio mutes — no extra license needed on their end.

Can I use the same pack across multiple games? +

Yes — pay-per-track licenses cover unlimited projects, with no per-title fees. What determines the tier (Common/Rare/Legendary) is usage type (games only vs. all media) and revenue/user count — not how many games or videos you release.

If you release often, need new tracks monthly, or want access to a wider library without buying per-track, a subscription may cost less — plans include a set number of tracks/month based on your revenue tier. Compare both: https://wowsound.com/pricing/

Can I test the audio before purchasing? +

Yes. Download watermarked OGG previews of any track or sound effect to test directly in your game before buying. Visit our Try Before You Buy page to get started.
