Frequently Asked Questions
What can I use the sounds and music for?
All our audio is royalty-free. You can use the sounds and music in video games, mobile apps, visual novels, trailers, YouTube videos, streams, and most commercial projects. The only limit is choosing the correct license tier based on your game’s scope and distribution.
Do I need to credit WOW Sound?
Credit is not required. Once you purchase a license, you can use the audio without attribution. If you would like to credit us, a simple “Music/Sound Effects by WOW Sound” is more than enough and always appreciated by our team.
What’s the difference between pay-per-track and subscriptions?
The difference is in how you access the sounds:
- Pay-per-track
Purchase individual music tracks / sound effects or themed game audio packs/bundles with a one-time payment. Your license is permanent. This is ideal if you need specific tracks or packs for a project.- Subscription plans
Download a limited number of individual tracks each month (29–49 tracks depending on your plan) from the full catalog. Game audio packs and bundles are not included and must be purchased separately. This is ideal if you need to explore and download tracks from different packs or across multiple projects. Projects released while your subscription is active remain permanently licensed, but this does not give you a permanent license to tracks you downloaded but did not use in a released project.
All plans include the same high-quality audio files. Choose the plan that best matches your project size, revenue, team, and distribution.
Learn how subscription works or read our guide to Pay-per-Track VS Subscription Plans.
Can I use the assets in multiple projects?
Yes. You can use the same audio across multiple projects with both Pay-Per-Track and Subscription licenses, provided each game meets the requirements of the applicable license.
How many audio tracks can I download in a subscription plan?
With a Subscription (Creator, Pro, or Business Plan), you can download up to 49 tracks per month.
- Each main track and all its variations count as one credit. For example, MTG Bounce – Battle FULL Loop includes 7 submixes but counts as a single track.
Our download limit ensures a carefully curated, high-quality selection while supporting the artists behind every sound. It maintains a copyright-safe, worry-free experience and encourages intentional creativity, helping you find the perfect sounds for your project.
Can I use your music and sound effects in Roblox?
No. We currently do not allow WOW Sound music or sound effects to be uploaded to or used on Roblox. Roblox's Terms of Use grant Roblox broad rights over content uploaded to its platform, including rights related to modification, distribution, derivative works, and machine learning.
Our licenses do not grant you the right to pass these additional rights on to Roblox. Because these rights are granted to Roblox automatically when content is uploaded, our licenses currently do not meet the requirements for uploading WOW Sound assets to Roblox.
