Is your music and sound effects library royalty-free?
Yes! All WOW Sound music and sound effects are fully royalty-free. You only pay once through either pay-per-track/pack or subscription, and you can use the audio in your video games, trailers, and projects without paying ongoing royalties or backend fees. Our tracks are not in Content ID, so there are no YouTube or streaming claims.
What licensing options do you offer?
We offer two simple options:
- Pay-per-Track: Buy exactly what you need (single tracks, themed packs or bundles).
- Subscription: Download up to 49 music or sound effect tracks per month for unlimited use in your game projects while your subscription is active.
Both options grant commercial rights for video games under the WOW Sound License.
How are my video games protected from copyright issues?
You’re fully covered. WOW Sound music and sound effects are DMCA-safe, Content-ID free, and copyright-safe. Your players can stream, upload gameplay, or share your game online without receiving copyright claims or muted audio.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Projects released while your subscription was active remain licensed permanently, and you can continue using the WOW Sound tracks already included in those released projects.
However, tracks downloaded through your subscription are not permanently licensed just because you downloaded them. If you want to use a track in a new project or new content after your subscription ends, you’ll need to renew your subscription or purchase the track separately.
Can I use your music and sound effects for free?
You can listen for free, but using WOW Sound audio in any game or published project requires a paid license—either through pay-per-track/packs or an active subscription. We do not offer free music or sound effects for commercial use except for our WOW Sound Starter Pack.
Does WOW Sound offer AI tools or AI-generated music and sound effects?
WOW Sound does not offer AI-generated music or sound effects. All content in our library is created by real artists, composers, and sound designers.
We do, however, use AI-assisted search tools to make discovering music and sound effects faster and easier. Our Similarity Search helps match tracks by sound, vibe, era, genre, and BPM, while Free Text Search lets you describe what you’re looking for in your own words to find the best matches.
Can I use your music and sound effects in Roblox?
No. WOW Sound music and sound effects are currently not licensed for use on Roblox. Roblox's Terms of Use grant Roblox additional rights over uploaded content that are not covered by our licenses. See our full FAQ for details.
