How It Works In Your Game

Designed in Layers

Each spell is split into parts as the sound design intended — trigger them separately so your magic stays in sync with animations, even when the game lags.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different license tiers?

WOW Sound offers four license tiers:

  • Common — One-time purchase. Covers video games only. License is permanent and does not expire.
  • Rare — One-time purchase. Covers any content type including games, trailers, YouTube, and social media. License is permanent.
  • Legendary — One-time purchase. Same coverage as Rare with extended team usage of up to 5 users. License is permanent.
  • Subscription — Monthly or annual plan. Grants access to the full catalog while your plan is active. License is only valid during an active subscription — cancelling ends your usage rights.
Can I use these magic sound effects in my commercial game?

Yes, all tiers cover commercial use. The Common License covers video games specifically. Rare and Legendary extend to any content type including trailers, YouTube videos, and social media. The Subscription plan covers all content types while your plan remains active.

Are these sounds safe for YouTube and Twitch — no copyright claims?

Yes. All sounds are DMCA-safe and not registered with Content ID. You won't receive copyright claims on YouTube, Twitch, or TikTok regardless of which license tier you purchase.

Do my players need a separate license when they stream gameplay?

No. When players stream or record gameplay featuring your game, they are already covered under your license. No safelisting, no dispute management, and no separate subscription required for your players — this applies to all license tiers.

Can I use the same pack across multiple games?

Common, Rare, and Legendary licenses are permanent one-time purchases — use across unlimited games with no expiry. The Subscription plan allows use across all your projects while your plan is active. If you cancel your subscription, your usage rights end and the sounds can no longer be used in new or ongoing projects.

What file formats are included and which engines are supported?

All packs include WAV and OGG formats with UCS metadata embedded. Compatible with Unity, Unreal, Godot, FMOD, and Wwise. WAV is recommended for looping sounds — MP3 is not suitable for seamless loops.
